Europe Trip: Chorefto (Greece) with mormor and morfar, part 1

Day 22: Drive from Athens to Chorefto, Greece

The day after mormor and morfar arrived Alex had to fly back to the States for ten days to do some work, while we were going to stay in a house in Chorefto, Pilion, Greece. Driving there was quite an adventure since the roads were sometimes tiny tiny and very very steep. However, mormor and morfar did almost all the driving while there and they did great! (I was happy I did not have to drive much :-)

Athens to Chorefto
The roads in Pilion looked like this most of the time...

Day 23: School day and trip to Zagora

Catching up on some school work while the weather is not great
Since the little beach "town" of Chorefto was very small we had to drive to Zagora for pretty much anything we needed so we went there for the first time our second day in Chorefto. Just to arrive to a very empty and quiet town. All because it was siesta time and we had no idea that everything would be closed for several hours in the afternoon. Luckily they had a playground that the kids really enjoys so we could kill some time there while waiting for the grocery store to open...

Day 24: Exploring near by beaches and going swimming

Our beach in Chorefto

Hiking to the next beach

Taking a break on the other beach

Walking back to our beach (which is in the background)

View from our house. Very nice!!

BBQ time!

And bedtime!

Day 25: Beach day!!

Our house seen from the beach

A tiny river coming down to the beach is a great place for races :-)
There were very big waves at out beach but as long as you got out in between the waves you were fine. They only broke right by the beach so as well as you were outside of that you could enjoy floating up and down :-)

Our little friend

The rock village

After beach fun!

Day 26: Visit to Volos

A friend of mine lives in Volos, she is from there, and we went to see her. My mom and I went to Volos 25 years ago to visit her for the first time and my mom had not seen her since then. My dad had never met her. Good day, lots of driving..

Taking a break on the way back to enjoy the view

Don't fall!!!

We bought this from a farmer on the way back... thought it was a huge apple... but it was a quince

  2. Hej Tina, när man ser dina fina bilder känns det som det var igår vi sågs. Hat du någon bild på båtarna när vi tävlade i bäcken? Hälsa och krama killarna
