Going north

So we left this morning to go up north for some good hiking. I was a little worried about the long drive since Lillebror wants to eat so often and does not really enjoy going in the car. I think what he actually dislike is to sit alone in the car seat when he could be in someone's arms instead :-) The drive is about 7 hours and Lillebror did great. Marlee on the other hand did not enjoy sitting still for so long. I do not blame him. He did do very good, too, though! We, of course, made a few stops and Marlee got to visit two smaller playgrounds to get vent (?) some of his energy :-)

Storebror

Lillebror

I have forgotten to mention that we have booked our trip to Florida in November. We are really looking forward to go, to see everyone again and to get some sun! Marlee keeps talking about going to see farmor and farfar and that he has to fly there :-D He is surely exited to go!

Marlee has just started to play "pretend games" (?). He normally makes coffee or bakes cakes that he serves us. Tonight ge took it a little further when he was playing with morfar and they pretended to be on the beach on Fårö where they played in the sand and went swimming. So fun to watch!

Now both boys are sleeping and I will too soon!

Back online again!

I am sorry for not writing for a long time but I have a good excuse, which is sleep!! Lillebror has been eating about 4-5 times every night and I never get to sleep more than 1,5 hour at a time. This has resulted in me napping as soon as I has some time over and the blog has been suffering. However, last night was my best night since Lillebror arrived and I only had to wake up twice to feed him :-D So I figure that it was a good idea to celebrate by updating the blog!

Since last time I added something here we have been to four birthday parties of which Mobi's has been one m(he turned two) and mormor's one. She turned 65 and just worked he very last week, fore er!! Tomorrow me and the small boys are going up north to go hiking with mormor and morfar. Alex is unfortunately staying home to catch up on some work. But we are surely going to enjoy the mountains and the beautiful nature up there!

Sleeping in the stroller :-)
(Lillebror was only sitting like this temporarily)

Baby with a binkey, or binkey with a baby??
(One of the few times when Lillebror
has accepted the binkey)

Notice the dimple :-)

No name yet but going strong

Took this video early this morning of Lillebror. He has a wheezy throat, which you will hear. It is especially bad during the night.

More goodies of our wonderful boogers

I found my thumb!!!

Cuddled up!

My loves!!!

Thanks Johanna for making our life a little more noisy!! ;-)
Marlee has a new favorite toy, I do not!

Getting to know Lillebror

A Lillebror with many faces :-)

The other day both boys slept for two hours, at the same time! Life is easy sometimes!! Other days Lillebror is awake for several hours during the nights... life is less easy those days...

Marlee is a very caring Storebror. He lets us know when Lillebror is sad and he reminds us that he might be hungry :-)

First bath. Marlee is a good helper!

And a bath for Storebror, too!

- Good morning, Lillebror!

Brother love!
Friday we all spent the evening in the ER. Marlee's arm was hurting. During the day Alex and I were swinging Marlee between us holding his arms and after that he kept complaining that it was hurting. We first thought that he might only be looking for attention and we "played along". We put a band aid on the arm hoping that it would "help". When he even complained while napping we realized that it was hurting for real and we called the doctor. Alex did some research on google and we realized that it might be the elbow that was out of place, a so-called Nursemaid elbow. We got that confirmed when arriving to thr ER. (They have a few of these cases every day and it is due to the elbow not being fully developed before the child is 4-5 years old.)  First they tried to get the arm back in place by bending the arm but it did not work. Then they wanted to make an x-ray and while taking different x-rays Marlee had to bend the arm in different angels again and when we left the room he was super smiley and kept shouting "Inte ont" (no pain). So the arm was fixed! Marlee was very exited about not having pain anymore :-D The day after he was playing "hospital" in the garden.

We put Marlee's arm in a home made sling
so that he did not have to hold it
with his other arm.

A great Storebror and a Lillebror who gets cuter every day

So a few more days have passed with two children in the house. I must say that this has been a bigger challenge that I expected. Probably, partly because of the so called "baby blues". Alex took a few days off which was highly appreciated and, when looking back, also neccessary. My parents have also helped out as well as my friend Sofia who came over with her family and made us dinner one day. What would you do without family and friends!!!??? Today, however, it feels like I have the situation under control :-D Knock on wood!!

Marlee has been at the daymum Monday and Tuesday and even if he says in the morning that he does not want to go, when we get there he runs off and does not even have time to say good bye. Yesterday he did not want to go home when I picked him up. Guess there can be several reasons for that and that he does not neccessarily mean it but at least he has been very happy to be there.

Today the sun was shining and the weather has been very nice except for the strong winds. Marlee, Lillebror and I took a long walk in the forest to look for mushrooms and we found a lot!!! I love walking in the forrest, it makes me feel peaceful and relaxed. Marlee is such a good walker and mushroom hunter and he did not complain once. Not even when he had to wait for Lillebror to have some munchies (food) and we had to walk slooooowly (I had not packed anything to sit on and had to feed him standing... worked fine! 4 kilos is not heavy to carry when being used to Marlee's 12 kilos).

Now both boys are sleeping and I am trying to use the time wisely :-)

A proud Marlee after we have planted some
flowers that we received as a baby present.
Thank you Björn, Bitte, Bodil and Bjarne!
