B as in Baby shower and Beach

Today me and some friends organized a baby shower for a friends who is having her baby in August/September. We are actually three friends who are having babies in July-September :-)

Later today Lexi came over and played and me and all the kids went down to the beach. It was so beautiful and relaxing even though it seemed like a storm was on its way.

The kids are picking trash on the beach!

Except for Gabriel who is playing with the sand :-)

And being cute!

My last project - repainting frames and putting up paintings we got from Aunt Jackie

Midsummer, lemonade stands and beach

The last week has been reeeealy hot!! I have hardly been outside and even Marlee and Noah think it is too hot to be out biking! That means it is hot!! Anyways we have had some fun activities lately, such as Swedish Midsummer (last Tuesday was the longest day of the year), birthday party, lemon stands and beach.

Walking his dog and ladybug

The smallest snake I have ever seen!! I found him dead outside out front door.

Midsummer celebrations at IKEA in Orlando

A carousel at a birthday party for a friend in St Augustin

Marlee finally got to do his lemonade stand that he has talked about for so long and he actually made some money which was fun. He went to the grocery store to get lemons, sugar and paper cups and I helped him to make the lemonade. Great opportunity to talk about costs, profit, supply and demand etc :-)

Preparing for another lemonade stand with Lexi

Games on the phone...

I heard noises from this kitchen this morning and this is what I found when I came out there!
We walked down to the beach after dinner tonight. It was gorgeous!!!

Father's Day

Last Sunday was Father's Day here and of course we celebrated Alex a little. We both agree that it is only a commercial idea but we still end up doing something special and celebrating a little :-)

Happy Father's day, pappa!! Breakfast in bed :-)

Pappa chose to go to a game place after dinner :-)

Think Marlee and Noah were happy with his decision ;-)

Gabriel got to try the games, too!

My sinus infection got a lot better by the end of last week but I still had some pain in my face so we have not been outside as much as normal, or as much as I would like, too. However, we have had some fun projects inside the house, such as making Elderberry lemonade out of dried flowers from Sweden and we have been outside a little. Yesterday we were some friends meeting at a friends house, who has a pool, and the kids had so much fun while we could talk a little.

This toy is still so popular, Noah got it once.

One of his favorite places :-)

We found this very strange creature by one of our doors. I looks like an antlion carrying something on its back...
Marlee has his very first camp this week. A lot of his friends are going, too, and it is at one of the churches close to us. They stay there from 9-12 each day and the theme is caves. I was positively surprised of how ambitious it was when we first got there. The whole church is set up as a cave inside and all the people working at the camp have helmets with a light in the front :-) Marlee super enjoys it and Noah wanted to go, too, when he saw what it was like. When I signed Marlee up I asked Noah, too, but he did not want to go. He does not want to go in and play with the kids in the back when we go to church, but rather sits with us, so I did not think that he would like to something like this yet, but I guess next year!

Marlee has camp in the mornings this week so today me, Noah and Gabriel went to the playground to have some fun

This little guy is pretty smart!

We are so proud!!!

We are so proud of Alex who has not smoked in 6 month (yesterday)!!!! The boys made him some nice drawings focusing on not smoking and how you can get sick if you smoke (apparently you head turns red when you are sick :-)

Noah added a "funny M" in fron of his name...

This guy so enjoys taking a bath!

And he likes to pose in front of the camera :-)

I have been sick for 2 weeks now and the boys have had to stay inside for way too long! Luckily Alex have been able to take some time off of work so that they have been able to do some fun stuff with him but they have been such good kids playing in the house when they have had to.

There have probably been at least one forte built every day!
It has also been way too much TV for these little guys!

Made mushroom pie the other night with Swedish Trattkantareller

Yesterday was the first day I felt good enough to leave the house and do something outside with the boys. Thanks to Uncle Mike we had a good time at his pool!!

This morning we met with some friends (inside) so life is slowly going back to normal after too much time inside at home. Feels good!

Empty after mormor and morfar left

Great second week with mormor and morfar with lots of small trips and adventures!

We went to De Leon springs one day and that was a great place to bring the kids! I LOVED the cool water in this heat. Yes, it is too warm for me right now, especially being pregnant, but the spring was wonderful. Have to do that again soon! De Leon springs was actually better than Blue springs, I think, if you bring children. It was not as beautiful or natural as Blue Springs but so much easier for me. Everything (restaurant, playground, spring, pick-nick tables) was located in the same spot and you did not have to walk far for anything.

Noah and morfar

Mormor and Gabriel, who loves splashing :-)
A friendly family lent us their floaties for Gabriel to try and he really liked the freedom!

These two guys went for a walk in the forest with mormor and morfar
After getting home Marlee went fishing with pappa, who had been working all day, while we enjoyed the spring. He caught he´s first fish in Ormond!

Every morning this crew walked down to the beach to go swimming before breakfast. Whoever was awake got to go and that game me some extra sleep :-)

Last Friday, a week ago, we spent the whole day at Daytona Lagoon and that was such a great place!! All boys had a blast and so did mormor, morfar and I, too! Very good park for small kids!

Marlee coming out from the dark slide!

Mormor and Noah, and Marlee to the right

From the left: Marlee, mormor and Noah (a year ago Noah would never ever do this!)

Bye bye park, hope to see you soon!

Alex and I wen out for a date night and I had a (alcohol free) Pina Colada before the food. Soooo yummy!!

Marlee collecting shells during his morning swim

We had a very nice dinner at farmor´s house one evening with several of her sisters and some of Alex´s cousins. Very nice!! Some of us walked down to the beach after dinner and enjoyed the ocean!

Beach outfit!

Time for the morning swim! (Gabriel still in his PJ)

I just got Marlee I hat at the dollar store for one dollar!! Noah did not want one but I might go back and get him one, becauase I love it!

The last morning with mormor and morfar. G is ready for the morning swim with his boots but it is poring rain outside...
So the day mormor and morfar left (Monday) was when the storm Colin hit central Florida. I so enjoyed the cooler weather and the rain and I think the others did, too, even if they missed out on the morning swim. We had some great two weeks that went by way too quickly. We dropped them off at the airport in Orlando and then headed for IKEA while the rain kept coming. Not as bad as I expected it to be though. We had a quick but nice visit at IKEA with some Swedish friends from Orlando and the kids enjoyed some Swedish candy! Who would not enjoy Swedish candy!!!

At IKEA with our Swedish friends!

Wonderful Swedish breakfast!!!!!!!!!

Watch out, here we come!!!

I got a cold about a week ago and have not been feeling that great. It been sinus problems, cough and sore throat on and off. I have not been able to be outside at all pretty much so we have had a lot of indoor activities. The boys have handled it very well stayed busy and actually done some school work before taking a break for the summer.

Noah got his gift from Santa from sending his binkeys to him :-) Lego!

When Gabriel gets to choose what to wear! :-)

Started to build a wooden airplane!

This could be an IKEA commercial :-)

More Lego projects!

Last night we went for a walk on the beach. Beautiful and nice and cool!

My man and I!

Now I hoping to feel better soon and that this sinus issue will go away!!! Staying inside for this long cannot be healthy for anyone!!! ;-)
