My cutieeeeeeeeee!!

We are saving Marlee's hair to be long and right now it is just annoying him and being in his eyes. So today we put some hair clips in it in order to keep it away and he looks so much like a girl, poor thing. Both Alex and I agreed that he cannot show himself outside the house like that ;-)

Anyways, I just wanted to warn you before watching this cute video where he is watching Shaun the sheep and he surely looks amused :-D

Vacuuming

I love it how he holds the "hose" over his shoulder, it looks so professional :-)

Make sure to turn down the volume, our vacuumer is not the most modern quite one...

Music museum, first drawing and "day mum"

I am sorry the updates are not very often anymore. It is not always so easy to find the time but tonight I did :-)

A little more than a week ago Marlee and I went to the Music museum in Stocholm  together with some other parents and children. They have a lot of instrument that children can play with. Marlee had a great time!

Last weekend it was Father's day here in Sweden. Marlee made his very first drawing, which he gave Alex.

Yummy apple!!

In order to make it possible for Alex to work more during the days that I work Marlee will be with, a so called, day mum or family daycare, 1-2 days a week. A day mum is a person who stays in her house and have few children that she takes care of while their parents work. We have found one here in Bro who is an "outdoor" day mum which means that she is out door most of the time with the children and it seems to suit Marlee perfect. They focus a lot on learning about the forrest, animals etc.  So far we have not left him their alone, but stayed there together with him. The day mum works together with two other day mums and they have activities together every week. Yesterday Alex and I went with them swimming with all the children. Marlee had a great time. The day mums have about 5 children each, of different ages (1-5 years old). So far it seems like Marlee really enjoys being outdoor with the other children. It is nice that it is only a small group of children and that it is in a "home environment".

On the way to the day mum (my big boy!!!)

Yesterday Marlee started to give kisses on the mouth!! He just suddenly wanted to give me kiss on the mouth. He does not really kiss, just puts his mouth to mine, or Alex, or who ever he wants to kiss :-) He is always very fair, if he gives one to me he always want to give one to Alex, too. He is just the sweetest boy!!!

Learning is what I do!

Right now Marlee is learnng so much every day. During the last week he has learned to
- open the bathroom door
- open and close the front door (a while ago)
- put on his rain boots by himself
- say Moon and Mobi (one of his best friends). They do sound very similar but the context will tell what he means
- put silverware and other kitchen utensils back on the right place when we empty the dischwasher

It is so much fun to watch him solve the challenges he faces every day!!

Every time I change a "poopy diaper" Marlee helps me to put it in a plastic bag. And everytime we are about to put it in the bag he sticks out his tongue. I have wondered why he does that and today I realised why. When I open the plastic bag I always lick on my fingers to be able to open it so guess who copied that behaviour :-D

This morning we all went to the American Embassy to handle Marlee's US passport. We had an appointment at 9 so it was all planned ahead and I thought that it would take about 30min. I should have known better when dealing with embassies... It took two hours. Entering the emassy was worse than going through security at an airport and we had to leave all eletronics (including Marlees toys and my headphones) and batteries by the enterance. When we got in I realised that I still had a pair of headphones is my purse, a small flashlight (with batteries) and a toy for Marlee with batteries. So much for having such a serious check up when entering the embassy...

I do not have much to publish but I can publish our best picture that we took the other day when we tried to take a passport picture of Marlee. The rules are very very strict. Our picture might not work because the background is not white enough.
