Happy Thanksgiving!!!

As a non-American Thanksgiving does not mean as much to me as other traditions here in the US, to which I am more used to, such as Christmas and Easter. However, Thanksgiving has become one of my favorite holidays. It has such an important message, especially to all us Westerners, that we need to be reminded about, preferably every day and not just ones a year :-) To be Thankful and appreciate what we have!

This year we decided to go down to farmor and farfar in Miami for Thanksgiving (normally they have come to Ormond) and it has been such a good time! We have been swimming in the pool, done crafts, been to the playground and got a chance to go shopping today, ALL BY MYSELF!! :-) It is Black Friday today but I did not go to any of the crazy stores, the traffic was the most crazy part of my day.

We spend Thanksgiving dinner at some of farmor's and farfar's friends. I should have taken some pictures because the food was delicious and the table setting very nice! "Unfortunately", the boys kept me so busy I never even got my phone out. Rafael found a new favorite desert, Pennsylvania Dutch Pie. He never wanted to stop eating!

Even a King size bed feels small sometimes (me and Rafael slept where it is empty space :-)
It has become kind of a tradition that the boys decorate a ginger bread house during Thanksgiving. And this year was no exception. Aunt Peggy gives it to them every year and normally she is there to join them but since we were in Miami this year she could only see the pictures. But I think you can tell from the pictures how much they enjoy it! :-)

Gabriel can be very sweet to Rafael sometimes, and sometime not so much...

Baking, sleeping, "beaching" and BIRTHDAY PARTY

I have done some baking lately and is starting to get used to the dry yeast instead of fresh that I always use in Sweden, but that I can't find here. My cinnamon buns are turning out fine :-)

A double batch did not quite fit...
