Unpacking

The last few days we have mostly unpacked, unpacked and unpacked, in addition to our normal workday. We are making progress and I am really excited about getting the house in order :-)

Working passed midnight...

Me and Marlee made our first Mac n cheese from scratch! Marlee grated the cheese!

Voila!

Noah's first day at pre-school!!

So today was the big day for Noah, he started pre-school! The same pre-school that Marlee goes to. Noah was so proud wearing his back pack but when it was time for me to leave he got so sad! It was heartbreaking for both of us. I'm used to a different method to introduce them to pre-school from the daymum in Sweden where you stay with the child the first days and take it step by step so this way seems kind of harsh to me. However, there are different theories and I trust the teachers here so I'm sure it will be good. The principle sent me a picture about one hour after I dropped off Noah where he was painting (with a big tear on his cheek).

We are moved in!!!!

It is way too long since my last post and I apologize. We have simply been so busy that I have had to prioritize other things, such as packing, preparing the move and moving in to our new house!!! In addition to this we have had to deal with Norwegian Air (still have a lost bag since we flew from Sweden), insurance, immigration/VISA, preschool etc. Now we are finally in Ormond Beach and we are staying in our new house!!! It feels wonderful even if the house is a total mess right now with boxes and things everywhere! We have been so lucky! Alex's grandfather just moved out from a house into an apartment and wanted to get rid of all his furniture, linens, towels and kitchen ware. We got it all and had a moving company bring it up to Ormond!!! Farmor has been a great help in moving out of the house and when they arrived to Ormond me and the children told the movers where to put everything :-) For me it has been like Christmas because I did not really know what we had gotten and we have so much nice furniture and kitchen things!!! Uncle Doug and Aunt Jackie is here visiting right now and they brought us a very nice crib for the new baby as well as a dresser and a changing table. We are all set now! :-) Jackie has also been able to help a lot with unpacking and organizing in the kitchen today and we got rid of a lot of boxes. I should have had a before and after picture but so far I only have a before picture so I will add an after picture later.

Since it has been so long since I last posted something here the picture from Miami feels so long ago. We had some good days there before leaving even if they were very busy.

Having fun with the Duplo he got for his birthday

Playing with papa's and Uncle Cory's old Lego. Soooo many fun things!!

Marlee went fishing a few times with Alex in Miami and caught some fish even!! The mosquitos and no-seeums were bad therefor the warm clothes.

I wonder if Noah likes to be in pictures...? :-)

We went to a festival the other day but it was closing when we got there. It was too rainy...

I guesstimated out big shopping on Walmart the other day to be $213. It was $212,98. That was pretty crazy and I did not even buy a lottery ticket after...

We keep swimming

The weather keeps being hot and we go in the pool almost every day! We also went out on the boat one night which was very nice!

Today me and the boys went to Pincrest Garden to visit Splash 'n Play. We had great fun even if the mosquitos and noseeums kept eating us.

Short but fruitful visit to Ormond Beach

Saturday farmor, me, Alex and the boys drove up to Ormond and all but farmor came back yesterday. We had five days up there and made sure to fill them. Me and the boys went to see Deborah, Curren and Toka, Alex and I went to see the midwife, we all went to "our" church, we looked at the house that farmor and farfar are bidding at and which we will probably rent. We also met up with more friends, enjoyed the beach as well as Uncle Mike's pool :-)

Marlee got to go go surfing with farmor and did very good!! Unfortunately I did not get to see it but he managed to stand on the board all the way to shore. It does not surprise me! :-) He also went to the fire station with farmor and as they were the fire men had to leave and Marlee got to see them leave with the sirens on!! How exiting!

Nice evening walk on the beach with friends

We are now staying in Miami until September 17 when we have the interview for my visa. We are going back to Ormond later that day.
