The garden is growing and so is Marlee

All our plants in the garden is growing so fast and Marlee loves to explore all the "fruits" growing on the plants. I have shared pictures of some of the plants below but there are still some missing, such as apples, potatoes, peas, tomatoes etc...

Do not miss the video in the end, a very energetic and happy Marlee!!

Right before bedtime... Marlee is not acting very tired... probably just passed the stage "tired", "övertrött", as we call it in Swedish?

Looking back...

I thought it could be fun to see what the little prince looked like before this blog was created so this is a little "looking back" entry.

When Marlee was born we could (of course) not imagine anyone being any cuter or more beautiful, and we did not believe that we were any bios...(!?!?!) We were sure that this was the most precious little baby and person ever born (and we still are). It was simply not possible to be more perfect! Time passed and for every week we thought Marlee got even more beautiful than the previous week. Now 16 months have passed since he was born and I guess he was just 16 months away from being the most beautiful, precious little wonder in the world, back then. I wonder when he will reach his peak...

Practising eating, gardening and swimming

The previous post was actually from yesterday but I had some problem posting it so it took until today.. well, today has been another sunny great day.

Alex took Marlee this morning and I slept until eleven!! Guess I needed some sleep... Since Alex was not working today I made sure to keep him busy in the garden with sandbox fixing, greenhouse-glass-replacement and bee-nest-elimination. We also had time to enjoy the beach and Marlee and I went swimming as usual. Alex was a chicken as usual.. but I hope he will get braver soon. The water was actually not bad at all and Marlee and I stayed in it for a lonf time. He had a good time but it is hard to catch in a picture.. wow, we have had a great busy day, just how I like it!

Great day

We have had a great day, happy, efficient and balanced. Marlee started out with playing with the fan, then we had breakfast outside (in the shade, the sun is hot!!). The rest of the day we have been gardening, a lot, and spent some time on the local beach. Marlee has gone swimming three days in a row and is getting rather brave. Sometimes there are other kids by the beach, too, that Marlee can play with, of just observe.

Our plants are coming along very well and the greenhouse is packed. It needs some organizing.

Hoping for a similar day tomorrow but then together with Alex too!

City visit

Started the day with sleeping in, second day in a row :-) Marlee woke up at nine! We had a yummy lunch with my friend Johanna and after that we went into Stockholm to see Ulrika and her 2 months old baby Morris. We all had a great time in a park with a playground.

Marlee has been wearing red, blue and white clothing today since it is independence day. We have also celebrated with home grilled hamburgers and Ben and Jerry ice cream.

Back home again

Yesterday we visited my god parents, Gunnel and Nisse, before going to the airport to fly home. They live on Gotland and I do not see them very often so I am glad that I got to spend some time with them. Marlee had a great time and loved Gunnel's homemade cake :-)

Today we have mostly worked in the garden, bought things for the garden and fixed at home. Right now Alex is making another mosquito window since it gets very warm in the house and we need more fresh air. Yesterday we had a bat flying into the house when leaving a non-mosquito-proof window open. That was NOT fun! Alex managed to catch it and get it out.

Now I am waiting for Marlee to fall asleep so that Alex and I can watch a movie :-)

Last day on Fårö

It seemed to become a pretty cloudy day so I decided to bake some cookies and invite some neighbours over. Our next door neighbour is a couple with little Victor 4 months and Victor's morfar.

I baked some cookies while Marlee went to the beach with mormor and morfar. It turned out to be a very warm day and rather sunny. It was not until midnight that the rain, thunder and lightening came. Marlee had plenty of time to enjoy the beach and the water. We also had a good time with our neighbours. Tomorrow Marlee and I are going back home but before that we are going to visit my god parents who live here on Gotland. I am really looking forward to see them!
