Lillebror is here!!!!!!!!!!!

(I just spent 2 hours to update the blog and it all disappeared... Forgive me for not doing this very detailed.)

So finally Lillebror arrived!!!

It all started at 5am in the morning. We dropped off Marlee with mormor on the way to the hospital and at 1.33pm Lillebror saw the world for the first time!! He weighted 3 915 g and was 53cm tall. Slightly bigger than Marlee.

We left the hospital in the morning the day after and Lillebror brought a present for Marlee. A very appreciated wooden train track!! We already need to get more pieces! :-)

6.00 am... Only me, and possibly Lillebror,
knew what was about to happen today...

when he arrived but got better quickly)

Keeping busy

Today Marlee got to go to a farm where they keep animals that children can go visit. It was the daymum who was going with her children but we were welcome to join even if Marlee does not normall go on Thursday. Alex went with Marlee in the morning and I came a little later so that he could go home and work (I had an appointment with the midwife in the morning). We had a good day even if the rain showed up a few times.

Went Indoor swimming

I am not a very fun play mate right now so I took Marlee to the swimming pool here in Bro today. They have a area for small children where it is not very deep but a lot of fun things. Marlee had a good time and he even went on a big water slide with another mum that we met there. I did not dare to go on it and Marlee really wanted to go. Unfortunately, I do not have any picture of that but Marlee had a big smile on his face when he came down :-)

August 20th, "Lillebror" was due today...

... but he did not seem to mind waiting a little longer...

It is now past 9pm so I dare to assume that he will not arriving today. Marlee arrived one day early and I have been very ready since yesterday. I am really looking forward to get rid of all the ailments(?) due to the pregnancy and stop feeling like a whale!! Losing my 20 extra kilos (40lbs) will also be a relief assuming I manage to do so...

Lillebror, you are very very welcome to the world as soon as you are ready!!

Keeping busy while waiting for Lillebror

We have had a very good week. Marlee went back to the daymum on Monday and will continue to go there two days a week as he used to. Assuming he enjoys it and does not feel left out when I am home with Lillebror.  I was a little worried that he would be sad after being away for so many weeks but I was worried for nothing. He was very happy to be back and had no problem with me leaving. I took the chance to visit the midwife and run some errands on Monday, and Tuesday I tried to be a little efficient and work at home. But it was hard to focus. I am not used to being home without Marlee so I thought I heard him all the time and was ready to assist him or make sure that he did not get in trouble :-)

Thursday we had some friends over for lunch, Alex took the day off from work and we enjoyed the day.

Friday Marlee's daymum came to visit with the two children that she had at home that day. Marlee was so exited to have them over he could not eat breakfast and was just very "hyper" all morning :-)

Both my parents are home, here in Stockholm, right now, being ready to take care of Marlee if Lillebror (little brother) would decide to come. My dad will go back to Fårö soon in case it wait but my mum will stay here. I do feel like he is about to "pop".

Today Marlee and I went to see my mum dance Linedance, which was fun. Later we had dinner at their new little "house", which is about 20min from here.

Back home again!!

We arrived by midnight August 7th. It was good to be back home again even if it was sad to leave everyone on Fårö. We have had such a great time there!

A nice surprise when we got home was all the cucumbers to harvest!

A less enjoyable surprise was all the killer snails!!
Marlee and I caught 60 snails the first night!!!!!!!

When waking up yesterday Marlee's diaper has broken.
The diaper had made it all the way down one
of the legs of his pyjamas :-)

Child labour!
Marlee is helping cleaning the hottub.

Leaving Fårö

So the three weeks on Fårö came to an end... The last full day we had was spent partly on Digerhuvud where the Rauks (Raukar) are.

Marlee and morfar

During our last day on Fårö Marlee went to pick potatoes with mormor. He had taken off his boots and his little legs got really dirty! :-)

Jelly fish and Kubb

Yesterday was another good day on the beach, with a short break when we wathed the guys cutting down a tree. Very exiting!

Marlee and I enjoyed catching jelly fish in his little cart (the same cart I used to play with as a child :-) It was better quality back then!)

made in the sand. The water seems
to be a little cold

Not cold anymore...

Found another holde to hide in :-)

The evening was also spent on the beach where morfar and mormor organized a tournament in Kubb (the same game I mentioned a few days ago). It turned out to be a great evening with a beautiful sunset (around 9pm).

A day full of actvities

The day started out with wonderful weather, probably the warmest morning we have had since we came to Fårö. We had a good time on the beach before lunch but then the clouds arrived.

Some friends of my parents have had their very very old barn renovated and today was time to put the "roof" on. I do not know what it is called in English but it is called "Täckating" in Swedish. Marlee was very exited, especially about the tractor helping to move the "weeds" used for the roof.

When coming home from the "Täckating" Marlee took a nap before we went mushroom hunting. When we were close the give up, after only finding very tiny chantarelles, we found a lot of big chantarelles!!

New visitors, World Championship in Kubb and Memory

A few days ago Aunt Linn and Johan came to Fårö with their dog Bosse. My friend Johanna has also been here, staying with her parents in their summer house. Both Marlee and I have had a great time with all of them. Now Johanna has left but Linn and Johan are still here.

Today Marlee and I went to watch the World Championship in Kubb, where Johanna participated. It was a lot of fun!'

Marlee and mormor have been playing Memory a lot lately, their own adjusted version, and Marlee is picking it up :-)
