Europe Trip: Bye mormor and morfar - Hello Acropolis

Day 34: Mormor and morfar going back to Sweden and we explore Acropolis in Athens

It was a sad day to drop off mormor and morfar at the airport in Athens. But we had a great time with them and the boys got to show their drumming skills before they left (the house we rented came with a drumset!!!)

Taking a selfie with mormor :-)

Bye! :-(

Fun at the balcony

It was time to start exploring Athens and our first goal was Acropolis.

Fun fact: An acropolis or akro meaning "highest, topmost, outermost" and polis meaning "city", acropolis was in ancient Greece a settlement, especially a citadel, built upon an area of elevated ground — frequently a hill with precipitous sides, chosen for purposes of defense. However, Acropolis in Athens is known to be "The Acropolis".

On our way back to the car we found a tortoises that was not really scared of us at all. We watched him for a while and it kept walking around, eating and doing what it normally does :-)

  1. Tråkigt att behöva lämna er men nu väntar farmor och farfar som säkert längtar efter att träffa kidsen.
