U.S. Roadtrip: NM is for New Mexico

After a very curvy drive and sometimes on tiny roads we left Arizona and entered New Mexico. It was a beautiful drive but I was surely glad I didn't have to drive :-) Alex did a great job and we eventually arrived to the Gila Cliff Dwellings in New Mexico. An exciting visit where people from the Mogollan cultures lived for about 20 years in the late 1200'.

Passed this place in New Mexico

If you are interested to know how the town got its name you can find the info here: http://torcnm.org/residents/frequently_asked_questions/index.php

We spent the next night in Albuquerque where we did not do much but stayed in a nice camp ground.
