Beuatiful Gdansk, horrible ferry ride and WE ARE BACK HOME (at one of them)!!!

We checked out from our apartment in Gdansk by noon yesterday and then drove to downtown. We passed several houses that were worse than run down, missing windows and broken facades. But, when we came to the city center we saw some very pretty old buildings, surprisingly colorful! We also went to see one of the biggest brick churches in Europe, St Mary's church. It was really beautiful!

So Gdansk was a pleasure to visit, the ferry was not! It was really bouncy and all but Noah got sick. Marlee threw up a lot, Gabriel a little and Alex and I really had to fight it but managed to not do it. We took motion sickness medicine but it did not seem to help much. We all went to bed around nineish listening to one of the boys' audio books. We were all too sick to even watch something. Luckily we all felt better this morning even if we were tired and affected by the previous night.

Well at home, we are all so relieved. It is great to be home even if it was dark, rainy and cold outside. The weather kind of made me happy because that is how the weather is here in December and it just makes me feel at home :-)

Home!!!

  1. GREAT TRIP but great to be home I'm sure. Too bad about the very rough ferry ride. That's one of the worst feelings in the world. I hope the boys didn't catch my "propensity for sea sickness" that I've had all my life. Now, STAY WARM! Love, Farfar
