Baco Rojo and Rincon

Our second day it was time to leave San Juan and drive across the island to Baco Rojo where Alex had another speaking event. Before taking off we had ice cream at a local ice cream shop and then we drove across the mountains. Our friends were in their cars and we all drove together.

When leaving San Juan we also left the rain forest behind. On the other side of the mountains was like a desert climate and there were cacti on the side of the hills.

In the house we were staying in Baco Rojo I wound these :-) Feels like home!

The next day we drove to Rincón to see if Marlee could surf. We could rent a board so he went out in the, for us, big waves. He had a great time and we had a good time on the beach. Unfortunately we could not really spot him among all the other surfers so I did not even get on picture :-(

This is not Marlee. I just wanted to show what the waves were like…

Beach treasure!
