Kennedy Space Center!!

We finally made it to the Kennedy Space Center!!! After 10 years in Florida we got a great homeschooling deal that we could not reject (I’m all about good deals). We went with some friends who have four girls and a boy so a good mix :-)

I should probably know more about these since we took a guided tour but you just have to enjoy the pictures and the little info I remember…

There was a capsule similar size to this that had two seats. The Astronauts were out in space for 2 weeks in that!!!!

They had a really fun playground.

Part of the homeschool deal was a class. Here Rafael and Gabriel are i their class.

In this building is where they build the rockets! It has the biggest doors in the world, they take 45 min to open. Three Empire State Building can fit in it. Each star on the flag is 6 Ft across.

The Apollo

The capsule (or a replica) that landed on the moon with Aldrin, Armstrong and Collins.

The “bottom” of Apollo

Watching a movie and all the kids are sitting on the floor in front of the huge screen.

A toilet. We have learned quite a bit from our Halvan books so we knew how the toilets work :-)

One of the space trips that the Swede Fuglesang went on.

Meet an astronaut

Artemis

Moms and kids :-) What a great day!!!

Back home and back to coop :-)

Beach visits with giant waves!!! I have a video of David going under a wave with Alex. I’ll post it soon. He got a little scarred but just needed to dry off and then go back in the water again.

Field trip to a radiation center. They got to see the different machines and then see some Stengel x-rays.

Checking out the ultra sound machine :-)

Watching an x-Ray with a knife in someone’s shoulder.
