Chanterelles!!!

As you might know one of the things a really miss about Sweden is mushroom picking, just stroll around in the forest looking for editable mushrooms. The one we call “the gold of the forest” is the chanterelle and I have found it twice in Florida. Just not enough to be worth cooking. Yesterday, me and the boys (Alex helped, too) found a lot (in Florida measures)!!! Enough to bring home and cook!!! I am so excited! Last night I cleaned them all and tonight, for dinner, we will eat them :-)

We left after David’s nap yesterday to get put a little despite the rainy weather. It didn’t rain on us but the woods were really wet, as you can see in the picture. 

These are not chanterelles, they just looked cool :-)

We did not only find delicious chanterelles, but also a Pygmy rattlesnake!!😱 It blended in so well, we could have easily stepped on it!

After our adventures in the woods we went to one of the restaurants on beach side for a nice dinner outside. They had live music, too :-)

Noah did not want to pose for a picture so another time...
