Yet another day with sunshine

I löv bottles!

So today was just another great day with sunshine. A little windier than yesterday.

Alex is feeling better and one of his friends from his time in Zurich came over for a while. Marlee and I have taken our daily walk to the grocery store (twice) and a walk to the park. There are so so many squirrels here and I have been meaning to take some pictures of them but so far it has been mostly of Marlee :-D He was so cute when he played with the leaves today, they are really dry and "noisy", and I have tried to only pic out a few pictures to show you here...

Tomorrow is Halloween... Moahahaha!

Awsome night and great day but not for Alex

Marlee only woke up once last night, just before six, and he went back to sleep after having some food. I got a very good sleep and feel great today. The weather today made it even better :-D

Unfortunately, Alex is having big problems with his teeth and he has been to the dentist twice since I got here. He is going to have his second wisdom tooth pulled out November 8th and until then he will eat both antibiotics and pain killers. The antibiotics he has had until now really make him feel bad, sick, but hopefully he will soon feel better since he is now changing to a different kind.

I have spent the day grocery shopping, stroller walking and cleaned up our room a little. As good as you can clean it with only a broom and no dust pan. Well, they say that kids who are exposed to less clean environments have less allergies so there are good things with everything :-)

Last night Marlee did not want to go to sleep at and we took a fun little video of him when he is in his travel crib. Lol!

Walk in the park

So I am back again. Really feeling like sharing the day today with you! The weather today is beautiful! Better than any other day since I have been here. It has been rather chilli and very very windy but today was warm!! Took a long walk with Marlee to Washington park. Sat in the sun for a while while Marlee was napping and then played with him. He really enjoyed the rustling leaves and the swings a lot, and all the dogs passing by. Back home I have dealt with some banking papers that I am going to take to the post office now. Keeps reminding me that I am not on vacation ;-)

Booger is awake and smiling

So Marlee woke up and is now playing happily in our bed with blanket and his cellphone :-D

And the new fabrics, giraffes and mushrooms :-D

GOOD morning!

Good morning, the time is 8.45 in the morning here and I am still in bed, having my two sleeping boys in the room :-D A coupe of days have passed since last time I wrote something and not that much has happened. I have taken walks with the stroller, which I am very happy with. Found a super nice store the the other day for sewing, knitting etc. They have so so many beautiful and cute fabrics that I wanted to buy. Could control myself though and only bought two different fabrics that I will sew a "diaper bag" of. Just a very simple one! Will put some pics here of them soon!

Yesterday I got myself a US cell phone, too, but I have not opened the package yet so the number is still unknown. Will post it as soon as I know it!

Sounds like Marlee is about to wake up so I should go hang out with him now. He has slept pretty good actually, this last night. He only woke up twice!!! Happy mum!!

Stroller walk

Spent the day outside, "stroller walking". First a trip to Whole food (an awesome grocery food chain where they sell a lot of organic and, in other ways, good food) where we (Marlee and I) bought some baby food and I had a pick-yourself-salad. Marlee got a banana for lunch. He is eating at least three meals a day now that are not milk, of which two are baby porridge. After Whole foods we continued to our walk and stopped at a few stores and finalised our little walk with a coffee at Starbucks. The weather has been pretty cold and windy so sitting inside was nice! Now we are back home and Marlee is entertaining himself with some paper :-)

Booger blast

Marlee surely enjoyed his new toy this morning! Thanks to Brittany, Joey and Charlotte-Mary who let us borrow it! Maybe not as fun for our room mates ;-)

Booger life - first entry

I am totally new to this, I am not following any one else's blog and I have never had a blog myself, but it can't be that hard, can it!!?? Are there really any strict rules? The purpose of this blog is to write about our little family's life and mainly about our wonderful little booger, Marlee! Well, enough background info (you can read more about us in the background info), lets see what we are actually up to.

At the moment we are in Denver, Colorado. Marlee and I arrived five days ago and daddy Alex has been here for 2 months already, doing some work. The trip over here, which took almost 20 hours, went surprisingly smooth. Marlee manage to show his charming smile most of the time and we arrived to Alex (who had a bouquet of roses in his hand) and Denver happy but tired.

After being here for five days I am finally feeling like I am getting some control of the situation and have manage to get some routines. Marlee sleeps during the night, adjusted to the time different after just three days, and we have found a good stroller, which came with two Halloween outfits(!!), that I am very happy with. The travel bed, bought online, is also working perfect. My biggest worry right now is the night sleep. Marlee has been waking up almost once every hour the last two nights and he can't go back to sleep on his own. He keeps putting his head in strange positions while he sleeps, so no wonder that he wakes up! Luckily we replaced our leaking air mattress two days ago and are now sleeping on a real bed. Not sure what I would have done otherwise!!

Today we went to church where Alex introduced us to another family with a 1-year old daughter. A very nice couple, with a very sweet baby girl! Had some yummy lunch after church with them and the rest of the day was spent in their house reading loud from a book(have not done that since high school) and playing a family game where we build railroads across North America. Alex and I lost big time but I am looking forward for revenge! ;-) This family has earlier lent (given) us a car seat for Marlee and today we got to borrow some toys, too, and a little baby seat, that I can use when feeding him. Super!!!!!
