The last week in Ormond before heading down to Miami for Christmas.

Christmas caroling with friends. It was the first time for me :-)

We decided to have a little Swedish Christmas in Ormond before going down to Miami. Thank you mormor and morfar!! 

Alex 40!!!! And Hanukkah…

Alex turned 40 in December!!!! I had organized a surprise party and he did not suspect a thing! :-D It was the same day as Swedish Lucia and he kept telling me that we should go to the Lucia festival that we go to every year, lol! He got a little surprised when people started to arrive :-) Unfortunately, I didn’t take many pictures..

As several times before our Jewish friends invited us over to celebrate Hanukkah with them. It is always such a great celebration!

Mormor and morfar left and we got back to our normal life, except school was out. We had some play dates and tried to keep up with the last changes in our new house!!!

Bye bye Thanksgiving, Hello Christmas

So, I while ago our drier broke and I have not been in a hurry to get a new one. Then one day our neighbors put a drier by the road and we asked them, for fun, if it was working, assuming it wasn’t. It did work! They first thought it was broken and bought a new one, just to find out that it was the outlet that was the problem. So we got a “new”, working, drier for free! Alex and the boys replaced the plug on the machine to the kind qe have in our house, there are two different kinds.

Thanksgiving is over and Christmas season is here!!! The boys were really excited to put up the Christmas lights! Over all they did a great job.

We also bought a Christmas tree earlier than we normally do and had fun decorating it.

Last day with mormor and morfar, and Thanksgiving with farmor and guests :-)

We were still not all well but the beautiful weather made it impossible to stay inside and the fact that mormor and morfar were leaving the next day made us wanting to make the day special. We all went to bicentennial park and played pickle ball. It was so much fun even if we weren’t feeling great.

The next day mormor and morfar went back to Sweden and we were sad to see them leave. Despite the sickness we had a very good time together, just different than our normal active visit.

Thanksgiving dinner at farmor’s house in Ormond. Unfortunately, I don’t have any picture of her, or of uncle Troy and aunt Peggy. They were all there though and we had a very delicious dinner together. Aunt Peggy brought the ginger bread houses as is tradition :-) and the boys had fun building them. They did not last long this year so I’m glad I got some good pictures!!
