Busy busy - fun and not so fun

Wow, it has been so long again. We have had a few ridiculous weeks. We don’t go to the doctor a lot but the past few weeks have been spent there a looot! I will get back to that  but before we do that let’s talk some fun stuff!

Marlee turned 12 on March 23!!!! I can’t believe he is one year away from a teenager!! He wanted a unicycle for his birthday so that was his big surprise :-)

Some random pictures from our normal days.

Gabriel and his cat

David in his stroller

Marlee and Pappa practicing for “Night of the Arts” where they played Amazing Grace. All boys participated. Video later.

Some of the boys have argued a lot lately and gotten on each other’s nerves. Something that maybe happens more often when they spend so much time together. I decided to do some team building exercises with them. It was a lot of fun and they seemed to forget about their disagreements during the games but I’m not so sure it helped in the long run.

At our cc coop. David with his buddy Diego ❤️❤️

Birthday party for one of Raffi’s friends. :-)

We went to a play about a week ago, The hiding place about Corrie Ten Boom who hid Jews during WWII. It was a great play! I got the times wrong so we spent an hour eating ice cream before the play :-)

We have not only watched people on stage lately, most of us have actually been on stage, too. :-) We had Night of the Arts with our a blue Oak coop and all the boys weren’t up on stage to sing Amazing Grace with alex. David participated a little, too! In addition to that Gabriel played piano and Marlee did cars tricks. Noah had some of his Lego creations for display for people to see. It was a fun night and the boys did great! I used the good camera so I might add some pics later.

Fiel trip to Brevard Zoo. A great Zoo!

Spring fling surf contest!!! Marlee, Noah and Gabriel participated. Gabriel also decided he wanted to get baptized :-)

Noah with one of his best friends

After the surf contest (which did not go as well as they probably hopes :-) and baptism we headed home for a quick shower and then egg hunt and dinner with some friends. The weather has just been gorgeous lately so I’m glad that we have been able to be outside so much!

It was a looooong day!

New day, new egg hunt! This time at the YMCA right next to our property in de Leon springs. So much fun!

As you can see we have not just stayed home rolling our thumbs lately but in addition to all this we have had a lot of doctors visits. Mainly because of Rafael and David. David has had a cough for about six weeks and we have taken him to the doctor twice now. No one else has gotten the cough and he has no fever or other symptoms so one guess is allergies. There is apparently a lot of pollen right now. Luckily David does not seem to bothered by it so we keep trying to figure it out and hope it will go away soon. The latest advice from the doc was to use a nebulizar so we are trying that now.

Something more severe happened to Rafael. He hurt his hip a little more than two weeks ago at the skate park when a bigger kid accidentally crashed into him. It’s been two crazy weeks with doctor appointments,x-ray and finally an mri. He has not really been in much pain, thankfully, but he could not walk for about six days and then he was limping a lot. He still is. The x-ray did not show anything but since he was still not walking normal (he insisted that he was fine) we took him to an orthopedic and she sent us to an mri. It was a mission to find an mri place that would take small kids but we finally found one and Raffi did great!!! The mri images showed that he has a fracture on his hip bone!! And a joint sprain close to that. I am amazed that he broke such a thick bone and that he is not in pain but he is still our joyful smiley Raffi!! Our biggest problem is to keep him from running and jumping. Thankfully he does not need any surgery or other treatment at the moment, but resting and taking it easy for 4 more weeks. Then a new appointment with the orthopedic and hopefully an okay from her. I might need some physical therapy in case the limping does not stop but it looks very good right now. He does not seem to be in any pain what so ever which I am so grateful for.

Now we are preparing for Easter with farmor, Cory and the cousins!, graduating from coops and then mormor and morfar to come! So much fun stuff to look forward to!
