Day 79: Public transportation to Murado, Venice, and Piazza San Marco
What an interesting place! We took the bus to Stazione di Venezia Santa Lucia where we got a two day boat pass which we could use to get around on the public transportation in Venice, boats. We had rented an apartment on the island group Murado (which is know for its glass making) so we knew we would use the boats a lot. We arrive to a pretty cold and rainy Venice. Somehow I pictured it as a rather warm place but not this time of the year... (late November)

There are many unusual laws in Venice to try to help with the enormous amounts of tourists coming each year. Some examples - you may not sit down and eat in public areas, you may not feed the pigeons and you may not gather in groups on the bridges.
I was not even feeding them!! I actually sat on Noah first but I was not fast enough to take a picture. |
The kids got close to some tourists who ignored the law hoping a pigeon would come sit on them. |
Watching gondolas |
