Happy Birthday Gabriel and Hurricane Milton update

Gabriel is two digits!!! Happy Birthday Gabriel!!! ❤️❤️❤️ Generous, capable and independent Gabriel!

There is nothing like a hurricane birthday! We didn’t even know for how long we would have power…

Yum! Melted gummy bears from mormor and morfar (Haribo gummy bears from Europe don’t have food dye!).

There were not many birthday activities but he did get breakfast in bed and one of his favorite lunches and dinners. In the middle of Little house on the prairie we lost power…

They caught  me a lobster in the Bahamas and brought it home in a piece of ice. I ate it for dinner as we were sure to loose power but I didn’t want to loose my precious lobster.

No more lights or electricity but we don’t need that for music!

We did surprisingly well through the storm and when we found it safe to get out we drove around the area.

Andy Romano Park

John Anderson always gets flooded.

Should probably turn that sign around..

We did not drive thru it!

Standish

Safe at home…

Fixing gutters they came off in the storm.

Cooking without power…

Pancakes for breakfast…

We are still without power and hardly any phone reception (I had to leave the house to do this update) but the weather is rather pleasant and we did a lot better than expected in the storm. Alex was actually up during the night of the storm and put towels by some doors where water came in but I slept through it… I only wake up to crying babies nowadays :-)
