“God fortsättning” as we would say in Sweden.

Leaving Miami after a great, busy, intense and fun week!! Lots of Christmas and boating on smooth seas :-)

Me and Kathy took care of the giant pumpkin that we got from our farmer friends. We roasted the seeds and made pumpkin purée. Great food for David! However, I did read that you can get too much vitamins A from to much pumpkin so don’t over do it :-)

My sweet independent child Gabriel was fishing by himself and god a good fish. Not big enough to keep but still fun.

David 11 months vs. Marlee 9 months (2010).

Killerbox!

Christmas Eve = Christmas in Sweden

FaceTime Christmas with mormor and morfar. And then boat ride to Boca Chita lighthouse. Cory took his Jet ski and we took the boat and a tube for kids to ride on.

We got of the water vehicles and explored the island.

Christmas Day = Christmas in the U.S.

Christmas gifts, boat ride to Elliot Key, Christmas singing, Christmas story and Christmas dinner.

Elliot Key, the water was amazing!!! We went into the woods to try to get to the other (ocean) side. The mosquitos were pretty bad and on the way back we all managed to get off the trail and had to walk back in the wild woods. It’s good we have some trooper kids who can be tough. We had a great swim in the ocean when we got back to the boat!

A Man-o-war and lots of  fossils on the beach on the ocean side.

Heading back, in a hurry, to get away from the mosquitos.

Farmor had made a delicious dinner that awaited us when we got back.

David got too tired to open presents in the morning so he had some left at night :-)

December 26… Another great day on the ocean. However, we tried to find a reef and the ocean was a little choppier where we went so some of the kids got a little sea sick and did not have as a great time as we were hoping. The best part (in my opinion) this day was that Cory and Alex chased away a nurse shark to get to some lobsters hiding in a cement tube at the bottom and they managed to catch a big one with both a tickle stock and a net!! Too bad for me both Cory and Alex dislike lobster so I had to eat it all by myself ;-)

After the snorkel attempt we stopped at a sandbar to chill and let the kids swim a little

The lobster before…

… and after. :-) Farfar showed us how to clean it and cook it :-)
