Madison visit, coop and creepy boat ride

Middle of November and the weather is wonderful!!! It is a pleasant temperature outside and we enjoy the cooler and dryer weather.

We started this part of the month with a short trip to Madison. Alex had a speech in Tallahassee or somewhere up there :-) Marlee went with Alex and me and the other three had a great time in Madison.

Day 1 in Madison

 Day 2 in Madison

Back in Ormond and school!

Learning about the different moon phases by scraping off the white stuff on Oreos, lol!

Making star constellations
We have had as a tradition to always fill and send Samaritan Purse Shoe boxes to children all over the world. Earlier each family has filled a number of boxes but this year we did it a little different. Everyone bough 50 of a few different items and then we filled 50 boxes we all the things we had. Personally I like to make my own box and get all the different things but this might be a cheaper way.

A nice surprise after the boxes were done :-)

Yay, a boat ride in the chili weather. We were all pretty cold when we got home but I would never complain about any cold weather in Florida :-)

So we stopped at an island and it was creeeepy.... It was filled with all kinds of stuff like street signs, dolls, chairs, a toilet and so much more strange things. The boys thought is was so exciting but I was not as thrilled. Just very strange...

Good night and sleep tight!

Park visits and Toad rescue

November, here we come!!! The most exciting thing in the beginning of this month was the toad hunt, later in this post.

A tiny tractor on a big truck. Lol!
Visit to Bicentennial Park, Ormond Beach.

At the park with some friends!

Visit to Central Park, Ormond Beach.

Farmor called one day and told us there was a toad in the toilet in her bathroom!!! I headed over with the boys to let them help. :-) They were so excited! It was more tricky than they thought!

Back to freedom!

Head injury but still having a lot of fun!

I never get enough of cute sleepy kids... And their cat...

A friend of mine had her fourth baby so her other three stayed with us for a couple of days :-)

Fun looking slug, apparently called a Leatherleaf

Some build a fort covering the whole playroom and some read a book in the middle...

So it was time to go celebrate Reformation day at our school and the kids were outside to get into the car. When I come outside Marlee is laying on the ground bleeding from his head. He had somehow jumped from the side of the car and fallen into the brick pole next to our drive way.... scary and Alex was not home. I ended up taking Marlee to urgent care and they "glued his head together". We decided to go to the celebration after even if it would be a short visit.

Me and the kids went to a fall festival the day after Marlee's head injury to have some fun. We had a great time. Lots of fun activities and lots of candy.

Gabriel went up, too, but he could not get down.... he did not weigh enough.

Luckily one of the workers was happy to climb up and "pull" him down.
