Marlee graduating from preschool

I had no idea how big it could be to graduate from preschool but Marlee does not seem to care that much about all the fuzz :-) They had their last day today with a great party including pizza for lunch and an bouncy house/obstacle course. It was hard to make Marlee leave even though farmor was there to take him surfing! It is good that we will be back on Friday again to pick up one of Marlee's friends and his sister who is sleeping over on Friday. 

Even though the last day was today, the big ceremony was yesterday. I have never been to an American graduation before and did not really know what to expect. The kids were so cute though!!! First all the classes at the preschool had a concert and after that was the graduation ceremony. Unfortunately it is really hard to take pictures in that light so I did not get any good shots of Marlee on stage but I have a lot ;-) Will post some of them here. I do have a few videos, too, but I do not think that it is appropriate to put out videos on all the kids without asking the parents to just ask me about them if you would like to see them!

Fun times with friends

Alex is on a short trip to Boston and will be back late tonight. Me and the boys have had a good time in Ormond. Yesterday me and Noah visited some friends for a play date in the morning and when Marlee got out of school one of his class mates came with us home. It was so nice to have her here. She made the boys clean up and really kept them calm :-) Me and the boys had dinner outside in the evening.

Today Gabriel has been sleeping a lot which was a very good thing. I spent all morning struggling with my sewing machine (I started last night) because the tension is not good. I never managed to solve it and I might take it to a store on Monday to fix it. In the late afternoon we went swimming with some friends and after that we had dinner here. A very good day, except for the sewing machine!!!

So much progress around here :-)

The boys are doing a lot of progress. Marlee is getting better and better at reading and we are practicing math, too. Noah has made great progress in laying puzzles and he has entered the "Why" phase. It is really exiting since he has not really shown such curiosity before. In addition to that he has started to count and he sings a lot. Gabriel is not doing much singing nor counting be he can sit pretty stable now and he can.... well, see for yourself if you keep reading.

Florida wild life (in Madison, FL)

We spent the weekend on our land in Madison with Aunt Jackie, Uncle Doug, Aunt/Sister Cindy and Uncle Danny (and four dogs). Cindy and Danny planned to build the boys a tree house and I think me and Alex are just as exited about it as Marlee and Noah :-) 

We arrived late Friday and and we played Scrabble after the boys had fallen asleep (Alex, Marlee and Noah slept in a tent that the boys got for Christmas). While playing the dogs ended up chasing an Armadillo and a ratish/nutria right where we were sitting. We did not let them kill any of them. The ratish one bit one of the dogs in the nose.
