Finally made something yummy of the pears!!!

Today we finalized our latest project which was to make something useful of all our pears and apples. Me, Marlee and Noah picked all the fruits that we could reach on the apple tree and the pear tree. The pear tree is a lot bigger than the apples tree and we could not reach them all but most of them. Today we drove to a place where they make juice from your own fruits and we ended up getting 18 l (about 4,5 gallons) apple/pear juice!! It is called "must" in Swedish but I am not sure if there is a word for that in English.

At the farm where we made the juice they also had some animals and a charming restaurant. It was all very "hippie like".

Not just a regular bike!

Earlier this week Marlee and Noah have seen Mobi twice (yesterday for his birthday).

We took the train once because Marlee and Noah wanted to, and when we got back to Bro there was some problem with the doors at the train station and they could only open very little. Luckily I could take the stroller apart and we could get through, but some "bigger" people had to wait until some technical person could come and fix it.

It is a special day today...

... and it has nothing to do with the boys... but with Alex... He made dinner today and, for the first time since I met him, 10 years ago, he made something else than pasta or Taco or BBQing. Today he made Cuban food and it was really really good!! I'm so happy and proud that he dared to step outside his comfort zone and make something new! 

Yesterday I made Taco for dinner and we got to harvest some of the vegetables in our greenhouse for the first time :-) Thank you mormor for providing us with home grown plants!

Gabriel still has a cold and wakes up a lot during the night. He is mostly happy during the day though.

Outdoor weather and activities

Fall came quickly this year and it is already pretty chili in the mornings. Luckily the weather has been really sunny lately and it gets nice and warm during the day. It is just kind of difficult to dress properly and I have tent to dress us all a little too warm. Maybe it is because I miss dressing warm so I am looking for a reason to wear fleece sweaters and hats :-)

We have taken several walks in the forest. Both next to our house but also a little way from here. A few days ago me and the boys went to a "mummy brunch" with a few other stay home mums. They are really hard to find in Sweden but it was actually five of us. Two had driven about an hour though so only two live close to us. We will probably see some of them soon again for a play date :-)

He loves pasta, potatoes, grounded beef, beans, peas, corn and BREAD. He hates baby food in a jar...

We saw a guineapig during the playdate. It wa a baby one so we hope it found the mum later

Gabriel has felt a little sick lately and not slept very good. Sleeping on pappa helps :-)

Such a great day!

(Yet another late post.. Two days old)

The day did not start out perfect, we were late for our first activity, but we managed to arrive in time! It was the Bamse run organized by the open preschool (Bamse is a Swedish cartoon). Noah ran two laps and Marlee five :-) All participants got a medal. 

Mormor wa there with us, too, and we made grilled hotdogs after the run and after that we drove Mormor to the airport. She was going back to Fårö. 

Me and the boys ran errands after dropping off mormor and we finished that with ice cream at Max where they have a bouncy house :-)

We got home and Alex decided to teach Marlee to pull weeds :-D !!! It was such a good feeling to watch them :-P

(I started uploading this post two days ago so it is already late news :-)

I'm sorry for not writing for so long but here comes a quick catch up..

We have explored the forest with morfar. There are still a lot of lingonberries and blueberries! I just love the forest here!!!

Noah has enjoyed his balance bike that he got for his birthday. He is totally dry now during the day and most nights too!

Gabriel got to use his rain pants when the grass was wet :-)

Friday I went to the indoor soccer field near by where the "open preschool" hang out every Friday. The boys had so much fun!!!.

Gabriel eats pretty good now, but still no baby food, only home made.. He can pick up food now, which is always a big improvement (for mamma :-).
