Mormor's and morfar's visit!

Get ready for the longest post ever... I'm sorry for not updating this in more than two weeks (!!!) but we have been too busy and had too much fun :-)

 

Mormor and morfar arrived late late February 18th and stayed for two weeks. I really really appreciated the help that we got and I managed to catch up on some sleep. The boys loved having them here and Noah preferred morfar before me!!!

 

February 18

It started out great, with perfect weather...

Feb 24 - Cloudy but nice day. Walk in Tomoka

Me and Alex left for Miami late Monday to go to a meeting for my visa on Tuesday. Our first trip without the boys since before Marlee was born!

 

Feb 26 - rather cloudy and rainy

While we were gone mormor and morfar had a lot of fun with the boys, going to the playground and the beach. The weather could have been better but the children don't care and since me and Alex had the car they had to stay close to the house :-)

This is how my dad found Noah in the middle of the night... I wonder if he was on his way to Alex's and my bed...

I am glad they let Marlee use his Christmas gift from farfar while we were gone. He has not been "allowed" to use it much... :-/

While this was going on in Ormond me and Alex enjoyed a dinner out and staying at a motel in Fort Pierce, where we discovered a beautiful beach!!! It was even a green flag (low hazard) which I have never seen in Ormond. :-) I just had to take the children to this nice place!

Feb 27 - Bringing the boys and mormor and morfar to Fort Pierce

 

As soon as Alex and I came back to Ormond I started planning a small trip for me, the boys and my parents to go to Fort Pierce so we left the next morning. We had booked a nice hotel by the ocean that we surely enjoyed a lot!

But before we left for Orlando the boys had time to show off a little :-) Marlee has been showing off his muscles for a while now and Noah has started to copy him lately :-) They are soooo cute!

Last weekend Marlee got a skateboard. He kept the pads and helmet on most of the time :-)

The weather has not been that great lately and even though I do like rainy days I started to miss the sun. And then, suddenly, a beautiful day came  and we could enjoy a nice walk on the beach :-)

Noah has taken the house work to another level. He is now putting ways pots and pans in addition to silver wear!

Last Thursday we took the car and went down to Miami for Eli's (Cory's and Felicia's baby) baby shower. He is expected to arrive in April. We enjoyed some time with farmor and farfar, too.

Back in Ormond beach again. Another beautiful day and Marlee and I decided to give the car a bath. Mormor and morfar are coming tomorrow so it could be nice with a clean car :-) Marlee did such a good job!

One minute after this video was taken Noah was sound asleep. He likes talking himself to sleep :-) (the video is all black)

Now we are all waiting for mormor and morfar who are coming (late late) tomorrow!!!

Chuck E. Cheese's

We had kind of a late start this morning but left the house and had the weekly lunch at Chick-fil-a. After the late lunch we drove to Port Orange to visit Chuck E. Cheese's which is a very fun place. I have been there once, 17 years ago... outside Dallas. It was a long time since Alex was there, too, and we had a lot of fun. It is simply a big pizza restaurant with lots of game machines. I think Marlee and Alex had the most fun :-) but me and Noah surely enjoyed it, too! The weather today, again, was not very nice so Alex looked for indoor activities this morning and this was one of very few options. Think we picked the right thing, though!

They both fell asleep on the way home and kept sleeping while we got them ready for bed. Time: 6:30pm!!! However Noah has woken up a few times after..

Indoor fun!

The weather has been kind of boring lately with lots of rain, wind and cold! But we have had fun inside! Yesterday we even went to the Art and Schience museum in Daytona with another mum (Emily) and her two sons (Finn and Grey). It was a lot o fun, especially for Marlee!

Such good helpers

Noah is the age where all house work is fun. He is very good at emptying the dish washer and the other day when I was putting clean clothes away he helped me with that, too!! I carried all Noah's and Marlee's clothes to their room to put them away. After me came Noah with the rest of the clothes - Alex's and my underwear and socks :-D Then he did his best to make them fit in his drawer!

Marlee keeps helping me with the garden. We recently planted some potatoes in some buckets. Hoping that they will get ready before we leave! If not, we can always give them away :-)

We are trying to let Noah sleep in his bed with the side open to make him like his bed better. It works kind of good. He has walked from his bed to our bed two nights in a row, on his own without any problem! My big boy!

Alex is still not feeling good but today seems like he is ok at lease.

Great day for everyone but Alex

Marlee is good, he was good yesterday already and Curren came over with his mum and baby brother to play. We had a great time. But, last night, Alex started to feel very bad and this morning he spent most of the time in the bathroom. He has been in and out of there pretty much all day but he seems better now.

Jackie and Doug were supposed to spend the day with us but because of Alex being sick and because the children still having a cold the plans changed. Luckily they did come anyways and stayed for a few hours. Me and the children convinced them to have lunch with us at Chick-fil-a :-)

After Jackie and Doug left we took a walk on the beach before they both got a bath and we had dinner. Alex managed to eat some, too :-) Marlee and Noah had a blast both on the beach and in the bathtub. Marlee manage to make a "frontflip" in the tub. Unfortunately, I cannot post the video of it here due to too much nakedness :-)
