Looking back: On the way home from Funäsdalen

We took a break by a playgroun on the way home from Funäsdalen. Marlee was a Rocket ship going down the slide :-)

Lillebror has a name!

We finally decided to name Lillebror Noah and this is what he has to say about it:

Climbing Funäsdalsberget (The Funäsdals mountain)

We woke up to a sunna day finally!!! The other days have been ok but today was perfect! Blue sky and hardly no wind at all. Another good surprise was some cute visitors on the balcony, some birds that ate cheese from our hands!

The goal today was to make it to the top of the Funäsdalsberget. During the winter we go slalom skiing down this mountain and today we walked up the slope which was rather tough. The weather was wonderful and it got pretty warm. When reaching the top we had a good lunch before it was time to walk down again. The walk down was just as hard as to walk down, just different. Part of the walk down we walked zigzag because it was so hard on the thighs.

After dinner Marlee and mormor went to a swimming pool to enjoy some "swimming" while I took a nap on the couch with Lillebror. Now Marlee is sleeping and tomorrow we have a long drive back to Stockholm.

The rock painting hike

Thursday was spent on a hike to see rock paintings made 1800 years B.C. A big part of the hike was on wooden foot bridges (?), which Marlee really liked. They were perfect to run on :-D

Iron age hike and musk oxen

Wednesday was first spent hiking on the Iron age track, which was partly very steep but also very beautiful. We had some coffee up on the mountain and ate lunch at home before heading for the musk ox center to see REAL MUSK OXEN!

Marlee is really doing a great job walking and walking and walking... Today he was only carried for about five minutes but it was only a half day walk, too.I would estimate that Maree walks at least 3km (about 1.9 miles) every day here during our hikes, probably more.

A good hike!

Today we did a full day hike. A very beautiful hike close to Mittåkläppen in Härjedalen, Sweden. We have had a great day and Marlee has been a great hiker! Lillebror was carried in a harness on my chest and did very good, too! I hope to add some pictures that mormor and morfar took today as well, but until then my pictures has to do :-)

Visiting a Meteorite crater

We left the house pretty late this morning and did only a short walk before lunch. The goal was so visit a meteoite crater which was "created" about 2000 years ago by the meteorite Tor. Tor was tavelling with a speed of 36 000km/h (22 370 mph) when hitting the ground.

Marlee spent the aftenoon with mormor and morfar (they did some more hiking and playing in the playgound) while I caught up on some missing sleep, last night was rather rough.
