One more teenager in the house!!! It is hard to believe but Noah turned 13 August 29!! He wanted friends over so thst is what he got. Some slept over ao the party lasted for two days :)
Morning celebrations. He had asked for two donuts for breakfast.
Later the friends came over.
Somw did not want to join the water balloon fight so they hang out with Maria. She is so popular, even with the boys!
The next day we went to the beach with the boys who spent the night.
Noah had a great birthday and kept telling me how good it was ❤️
So what about the happy-ending-squirrel-story… well, when it was time to take the boys home we found a baby squirrel by our be the neighbor’s trees. As we were in a rush we put the baby squirrel in a box to protect it and headed out. When we got back we googled what to do with it and looked for local refuges where they would take it. We found nothing but that you should NOT take it but leave it for at least a few hours as the mom is likely going to come back to get it. So we put the baby squirrel back (always using gloves not to touch it). We read that the mom would hear it making noise and come. However the baby stayed quiet, even though we knew it could make noise as it did when we moved it, so no squirrel mom showed up… Ww googled a little more and found out you could find the noise on YouTube so we did. I put my phone next to the baby and turned on the squirrel sound. It took less than five minutes before the mom showed up!!! She was messing with the baby for a few minutes and then grabbed it woth her teeth and carried it up the palm tree. The best ending ever!!! I didn’t have to take care of it and worry about accidentally killing it and the mom got her baby back. The boys would probably have preferred to keep it but this was the best ending ever.
