Gabriel 11!!! Our new house and Passover celebration

Happy birthday sweet, gift giving and hands on Gabriel!!!

Alex had to leave for work on his birthday so we celebrated it the day before by going to one of the arcades in Daytona.

And of course breakfast in bed on his birthday!

More celebration at the skatepark with friends. Can you see the boys?

And pizza…

Celebrating Passover with our Jewish friends.

Marlee run, hair cuts and chanterelles

Marlee has found a new interest/challenge - running. He recently participated in a 5k in Daytona. It was organized by daytona collage. He did great!!

The cosmetology school offered free haircuts! Of course we could not pass on that!

Mushroom picking and rattle snake spotting. Canyon see it?

Rafael turned 9!!, Charlie Kirk and disco skating

I know it has been sooo long and I’m sorry. But building a house takes a lot of time, and to add that to our, already, busy schedule means some things will not be done… but I’m here now so let’s catch up a little at least…

Big thing for us is Rafael turned 9!!! in September. Happy birthday our cheerful and positive little dude!! More about his birthday later.

First I want to mention Charlie Kirk who was tragically killed September 10. He left a wife and two small children behind. We participated in a memorial walk soon after andning was nice to see how many people joined it. There were even events organized in Sweden in memory of Charlie.

Day at the skatepark with friends.

Kid-swapping after coop. This week I ended up woth the Noah and Gabriel aged kids. So awesome to be able to do this. I can’t wait to have a bigger house and, even better, mor space outside!!!

Meanwhile at our fiends house who took the smaller ones, Rafael and David aged kids :-)

Back to Rafael and his birthday!! Started the day with breakfast in bed!

Later we met up at the skatepark with some friends.

Event at the disco skate place with coop. Always a lot of fun! First time for David to go on roller skates!!

One of the geography classes that I teach.

Sweet Rafael 9 years old!

Wild wild waves and Mosquitos in Miami

A visits to our house but nothing new, just a different angle :-)

A hurricane out at sea created big waves so Marlee went out with some friends. He is on the outer wave.

We made a trip to Miami a couple of weeks ago. Mainly to enjoy the ocean and catch lobsters. We caught several!!

We also made a day trip to Key West. The weather was not great but it is always beautiful down there.

Back in Miami and we had an adventure that I wish we had on video. We had packed hotdogs and snacks to go barbecuing on Boca Chita. We arrived and some kids jumped off to tie up the boat. That is when we realized we were attacked by an unlimited amount of mosquitos. Never ever had I experienced something like that before. I was holding Maria and was just waving my hands around her to get the mosquitos away. When slapping by arm I would kill five mosquitos in one go, it was horrible!! We yelled at the kids in panic to get back in the boat so we could leave. As soon as everyone was safely back in the boat we quickly left the island, still waving and killing mosquitos. When we could finally slow down and get in the water to ease our itchy skin there were dead mosquitoes everywhere in the boat! Some of the boys’ back looked so bad from bites! It was truly as taken from a horror movie.

There was no way we would be able to grill the hotdogs now and we were getting hungry so we decided we had to eat them raw, just like I used to do as a kid. Raw hotdogs are better than no hotdogs!

Happy faces before the mosquito experience…

Mosquito bitten backs!
