Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Christmas finally came and we had a very good day! Playing games, opening gifts, reading the Christmas story and enjoying delicious food that farmor cooked. She has taken care of us all this Christmas with lots of good food! The night before we left Miami all the boys went out to one of the islands to camp for the night. As always Gabriel had packed for several weeks :-) Among other things the bow abs arrows he got for Christmas from the cousins.

Miami - the days before Christmas…

Every year aunt Peggy gives the boys fencer bread houses to decorate by thanksgiving. This year we did not see her for thanksgiving so we did it now, closer to Christmas. It is always a fun activity for the boys, and a little messy…

Bubbles is being so patient with them!

Today we drove all the way down to Flamingo visitor center at the very southern tip of Florida, if you exclude the keys. The weather was perfect and we had so much fun exploring!! We saw manatees, gators, one snake and lots of birds. 

 

Happy birthday Alex!!!

 Happy birthday darling!!!! (Dec 16) We celebrated Alex in the morning and then we headed over to aunt Cindy and uncle Danny who had a house warming party at their new farm.

Other events that weekend was dinner with friends, Christmas party at our church and a Karaoke party at some friends’ house in Deland. We actually sang!!

The next Monday I had a Christmas party with all the moms from one of our coops. Great night!!

The day after this party we were supposed to go to Miami but we actually delayed it one day as we needed one night at home to rest before going. It has been non stop for several days and way too much fun!

Swedish Lucia and other events

Every year there is a Swedish Lucia celebration in Sanford, outside Orlando. It is a great fun event and this year it was even better than before, the Orlando floorball club was there and the boys got to play floorball with a rink! :-) 

We got food from the Swedish food truck! Here tunnbrödrulle med rödbetssallad ❤️ There is always a free cookie buffet with Swedish homemade cookies. 

Right after the Swedish Lucia festival we went to New Smyrna beach to watch some of our fiends who acted in the play A Christmas Carol. They were so good!!

Marlee decided to make bread one day and did it all by himself!! It tasted great!

Puzzle…

Noah went to a birthday party to one of his best friends. 

After dropping him off the rest of us (except Alex, who was in Dubai for work) went to our land to explore a little and say hi to the cows.

Noah at a Christmas party where they had a spaghetti eating contest without hands :-) Marlee was at another Christmas party the same night but unfortunately I don’t have any pictures from that. 

Quick camping trip and Christmas warm up

 Right after mormor and morfar left we went to Madison to go camping with some friends for a couple of days. We ended up having to leave one day early because of the rain and the tents and sleeping bags getting wet :-( It was a great trip as long as it lasted and we hope to have our friends with us again when the weather is better.

David was sleeping in the car when this picture was taken. He got really wet and cold so I got him dried and dressed warm and put him in the car to keep him out of the rain while we packed up and he fell asleep right away.
