Day 17: Ioannina seightseeing and the drive to Parga, Greece
Nice, relaxed day in Ioannina before driving to Parga, by the Greek west coast.
Fun playground time before taking the train to a cave...
Taking the small train to the cave
The Perama cave became known during the second World War (1940) from the
inhabitants of the village who were hiding at the cavities of the
Goritsa hill in order to be protected from the bombards of the airplanes.
A pretty relaxing day where we went to Dubrovnik for a little bit (parking with our car in Dubrovnik was impossible and we had to use a very expensive parking service so we only stayed for less than 2h). Dubrovnik was a very very beautiful and cute town, the parts that we saw.

Lots of narrow alleys
Day 15: Cavtat beach, driving from Cavtat, Croatia to Sveti Stefan, Montenegro
The water in Croatia was incredibly clear so we decided to rent a peddle boat. So much fun!! After a couple of hour on the beach and on the boat we hit the road again to go to Montenegro. Our first camp-night, but it was not on a camp ground...
Montenegro
Montenegro was a surprisingly nice country. A beautiful coast line.
A car ferry to cross a bay and save some time
We decided to go camping and drove down to a camp ground that had a big sign by the big road. Down by the camp ground we could not find anyone working there, but there was a reception, we only found some other tourists, backpackers from Germany. When we were all set up, in the dark, since we arrived late, a guard came and let us know that the camp ground was not open and actually closed indefinably. However, we could pay him and stay the night, as long as we left before nine :-) We did. The night was extremely windy and at one point the outer tent flew off and we had to get out and put it back.

Day 16: Sveti Stefan, Montenegro - Albania - Ioannina, Greece
We woke up to a nice day in our tent. Gabriel was excited about all the cats at the (former) camp ground and we agreed to give them food before leaving :-)
Note the rocks we used to keep the tent down in the wind :-)
Beautiful place for a breakfast!
Albania
We had decided to not spend a night in Albania, but drive through the country to Greece in one day. It was a long drive on bad roads with very very low speed limits. Albania is supposed to be the poorest country in Europe. I did indeed look very poor.
