Spring is in the air and the weather has been gorgeous this past week. We have been to the beach several times and even gone swimming. It is not that bad at all!

This past week has been a little crazy with both home school coops having talent shows in addition to Marlee's birthday, so he got to celebrate his birthday first doing school and then performing at one of the talent shows. Marlee, Noah and Gabriel had a rock band together with their friend Juliet. I had made them t-shirts with their name on "The 4 blonders" :-)

Today was the annual Christian Surfers competition and Marlee participated for the first time. He got a little scared after tumbling around in a big wave but stayed out there and did his best! And I must say that I am pretty impressed by Alex who was out in the "cold" water for a long time without a wet suit!
We just had a great weekend in Madison with some friends. The weather was perfect, warm days and cold nights... maybe a little too cold for those sleeping in tents, which was everyone except me, Gabriel and Rafael :-)

We did have a minor incident this weekend that almost prevented us from getting home... Two of the boys tried to run the pick up by putting a stick in the key hole and it got stuck... We could not get it out and after many hours Alex finally manage to find the only lock smith in Madison County and he could come out today (Sunday)!!! We were so lucky that he could fix the car lock so the car could start!
... then life happened :-) Maybe a diaper needed to be changed, or a meal cooked or a story read... Well, we have done lots of fun lately, in between the necessary things.
Noah in his Spanish class on Fridays. He has become a lot more independent later and participates more in class now :-)
