Happy Easter!!!

We have had a good Easter and got a lot of gardening done like. Alex has bought several plants and bushes that we, him mostly, have planted. Aunt Jackie has spent Easter with us and helped us a lot.

 We started the day with the traditional morning celebration with song and presents!

Lexi came over  before lunch and the kids had a good day together. We did some science experiments and learned about density and chemical reactions. That was very exiting for everyone!

Marlee had chosen dinner, pasta and meatballs. We had also made a marengue cake for dessert. Marlee seemed happy about his birthday. The next step is to plan his birthday party :-)

Sick, soccer and swimming

It been two weeks with ups and downs. Mostly ups but we all did get some kind of stomach bug which was hard on all of us. We got better though and lots of fun stuff has happened, too. We bought two chickens, names Happy and Hay, Marlee had his first soccer game (they lost but he did not seem to care that much :-), Marlee lost his second tooth and we had a absolutely perfect day on the beach with lots of swimming and fun in the sand!!!

We had an absolutely gorgeous day on the beach the other day!!!!!!

First beach day for us!!!

Just have to show you all what a gorgeous day we had at the beach today, for an hour or two (I will tell you about the past week or so later but today I'll focus on the beach :-). 

We did not really plan to go swimming but once we were down on the beach I just did not have the heart to stop the kids from playing in the water! It was wonderful!! I brought my real camera and got some cute pictures. Enjoy!

Building stuff...

So while there has not been much going on lately I still feel like there is so much going on all the time. And I never get use to it. We started (and kind of finished!!!!!!!) a project this weekend - building a raised garden from scrap only, of which most was found in trash piles. Using free material put less pressure on us, which was nice :-) I was pretty happy with the result! We do have more building projects going on but I will get back to that when I feel like we have control over it... I know it sounds like a big project now but it should be simple and I do not want to build up any expectations....

Homeschooling coop is a lot of fun which you can tell when everyone falls asleep in the car home :-)
