Happy New Year and Happy Birthday morfar!!

What a great day - sunshine, new year's eve and morfar's birthday, and he turned 70!!

We had some early fire works while Gabriel was still awake

And some later fire works at midnight. Noah barely stayed awake but we saw some great fire works from our house and that cheered him up!

This is what kept Noah awake until midnight, one of my old puzzles with 500 pieces! We are building it together.

This day ended up being a great day! I had a lot of quality time with all the boys and it was nice and relaxing.

Enjoying the snow!

I started "winter weather" with a lunch with some of my girlfriends in Stockholm. I felt a little bad missing out the boys' first day in the snow but was very happy that they got to spend it with Alex sledding and having fun in the snow! And it was great to see my friends!! Luckily the little snow that we got stayed and I have had the chance to play with the boys in the snow several days :-) 

I am especially happy to see that Noah enjoys the snow. He has not spent much time in snow and last year when we went to Colorado he was in a very negative phase and did not enjoy the snow much.

Mobi and Sofia visited the other day and Sofia had the boys practice their soccer skills :-)

Finally some snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have enjoyed some holiday time with mormor and morfar while they were here. On Christmas Day we went to a park close to hear where we went for a long walk in the forest and then played at a very fun playground. Alex stayed home to prepare an Italian meatball dinner that his family eat every Christmas. It was delicious!!!!

Tonight the snow finally came!!!! We hope that it is here to stay...

Christmas Eve

It was green and "warm" outside when we woke up on Christmas Eve but after being in Florida the last few Christmases we managed to create the Christmas feeling anyways. Together with mormor and morfar we had a very good day that started at the place where my grandma, gammelmormor, lives. We had coffee and Christmas cookies while opening Christmas presents with her. She was surprisingly happy and alert so I am very happy that we had the chance to have some Christmas celebration with her!

After our visit with gammelmormor we all went home to our house to continue the celebration with the tradiotion (Swedish) "Kalle Ankas Jul" (Donald Duck's Christmas) on TV. It is one hour of different Disney videos focusing on Christmas. After that we had Christmas dinner and then Santa came!!! Noah was cautious but not as scared at all as last year and Santa even got a hug! Gabriel was curious but kept a distance to Santa :-) Marlee noticed that Santa had the same pants and shoes as morfar and spontaneously said "it was morfar!", but after a while he seemed to have changed his mind and seemed to think that it was Santa again.. When Santa had left it was time for us to share gifts with each other and fill up on Christmas candy. It was a great day!!!
