Happy Birthday Gabriel and Hurricane Milton update

Gabriel is two digits!!! Happy Birthday Gabriel!!! ❤️❤️❤️ Generous, capable and independent Gabriel!

There is nothing like a hurricane birthday! We didn’t even know for how long we would have power…

Yum! Melted gummy bears from mormor and morfar (Haribo gummy bears from Europe don’t have food dye!).

There were not many birthday activities but he did get breakfast in bed and one of his favorite lunches and dinners. In the middle of Little house on the prairie we lost power…

They caught  me a lobster in the Bahamas and brought it home in a piece of ice. I ate it for dinner as we were sure to loose power but I didn’t want to loose my precious lobster.

No more lights or electricity but we don’t need that for music!

We did surprisingly well through the storm and when we found it safe to get out we drove around the area.

Andy Romano Park

John Anderson always gets flooded.

Should probably turn that sign around..

We did not drive thru it!

Standish

Safe at home…

Fixing gutters they came off in the storm.

Cooking without power…

Pancakes for breakfast…

We are still without power and hardly any phone reception (I had to leave the house to do this update) but the weather is rather pleasant and we did a lot better than expected in the storm. Alex was actually up during the night of the storm and put towels by some doors where water came in but I slept through it… I only wake up to crying babies nowadays :-)

Marlee in soccer and Maria in the ocean

We are right in between two hurricanes. Helene did not hit us very hard here on the Florida east coast but Milton might do… we are still observing it by watching weather forecasts… the other day we dropped off donations to be sent to north Caroline where Helene created a disaster and now 40,000 people are being sent to Florida to help with the probable disaster that Milton will bring. We are still not sure if we will evaluate but it is very likely.

Rafael!s class at CC. Playing a review game.

Marlee has joined soccer and is at the same team as a friend and his brother. Unfortunately, they lost their first game with one point. Marlee scored the two goals hia team made.

The other day we walked down to the beach for swim. It was perfect! Water not to rough and the first sandbar was very close to chore so it almost made a pool inside it. Maria went “swimming” in the ocean for the first time. And of course she was wearing her adorable swimsuit, lol!

It makes you tired to go swimming!!

Gabriel surfing on a boogie board!

Marlee was surfing way out so I didn’t get any pictures of him unfortunately.

The rain got us but luckily I was prepared and had the rain cover for the stroller!!

Getting a bath. She is growing so fast!!

Gabriel found a baby turtle this morning. :-)

So smiley!!!

Maria 2 months and Gabriel got an early birthday present :-)

Time flies and she grows so fast, Maria is now 2 months! See pics further down.

Marlee and Noah had game night with the older kids at one of the coops so I took the other boys to chick fil-a for dinner and ice cream. Huge ice creams!!

Such a sad face! She never cried though.

Marlee has fun with the camera :-)

Spent the evening at the skate park the other day.
