Last day worh mormor and morfar, and Thanksgiving with farmor and guests :-)

We were still not all well but the beautiful weather made it impossible to stay inside and the fact that mormor and morfar were leaving the next day made us wanting to make the day special. We all went to bicentennial park and played pickle ball. It was so much fun even if we weren’t feeling great.

Pics from our new house :-)

The next day mormor and morfar went back to Sweden and we were sad to see them leave. Despite the sickness we had a very good time together, just different than our normal active visit.

Visiting our house, more progress…

Sweet little ones!

The weather keeps being gorgeous!!!

Kitchen in progress..

Thanksgiving time!!!

Uncle Danny and aunt Cindy visiting and we got to show them our new house and the cows :-)

Maria got a gift from aunt Jackie.

❤️❤️

Thanksgiving dinner at farmor’s house in Ormond. Unfortunately, I don’t have any picture of her, or of uncle Troy and aunt Peggy. They were all there though and we had a very delicious dinner together. Aunt Peggy brought the ginger bread houses as is tradition :-) and the boys had fun building them. They did not last long this year so I’m glad I got some good pictures!!

A short soccer season before Christmas. First time for David. He was so cute!!!

Fika in the front yard :-)

Sick kids watching TV. Alex was soon heading to Brazil for COP30 (UN conference).

I got really sick, too, and mormor slept with a sick Maria on the couch all night so I could get some good sleep. ❤️  It surely helped us both to get better sooner.

Sickness and [Swedish] Father’s Day

Sadly the second half of Mormor’s and Morfar’s visit was spent mostly at home as all of us got sick, except mormor and morfar.  We were hit worse than any time I can remember and it was great to have the extra help even if we would have preferred to enjoy their company much differently.

A feverish David

We broke out the Swedish candy that mormor and morfar brought. Since we several of us were not feeling great we had strict limits on the candy.

Enjoying Swedish polarkaka!

Father’s Day in Sweden so morfar was celebrated with breakfast in bed and dinner at a local restaurant.

Mormor and morfar visiting! Volusia fairground field trip.

Maria is comfortably waiting for mormor and morfar to come :-)

The same day that mormor and morfar arrived, Alex and Rafael went to Michigan and Montana for a work trip. They also had some fun!

Our first event with mormor and morfar was a field trip to Volusia fairgrounds. It was a lot of fun!

There were all kinds of different animals shows.

At the same time the septic tank at our new house was installed.
